Rampage 2023 Course Walk and First Hits
October 12, 2023

Rampage 2023 goes down tomorrow!

Take a look into what’s been going on for our two riders, Jaxson Riddle and Talus Turk over the course of the last 8 days.

This is now the 6th Rampage at this venue, allowing both Jaxson and Talus to quickly get to riding this year.

Jaxson will be using mostly the same line as he built last year, with the addition of a couple new and improved jumps.

Jaxson, chucking a huge air, as he would say.

Talus adopted a line of the past and adapted it to fit his style and tricks he has planned.

Both dig crews have been at it everyday making the lines as rad and safe as possible. Huge respect to these diggers that can keep going day after day in the hot and dry desert of Virgin, UT.

First hits are one of the most stressful times at Rampage, but Jaxson and Talus couldn’t have been handling it any better! For their young ages, both have a methodical and calculated approach to making sure they are successful.

The goal is to be as ready as possible for the big day while keeping self-preservation in mind. Jaxson has been showcasing his legendary style as he ticked off every feature. Talus wanted to lock in his biggest move prior to his comp run and stomped an absolutely massive step-down backflip. What does a young gun say immediately after riding away from the biggest move he’s ever hit? “Let’s run it again!” and then proceeded to run back up and stomp another one to lock it in. Truly a monumental moment for the young and talented Mr. Turk.

As the morning progressed, unfortunately so did the wind, so both riders decided to call it a day feeling fortunate to have their lines ridden from top to bottom. Tune in Friday to watch these two drop in to Redbull Rampage!

If you happen to be in Bellingham, WA, make sure to watch the live viewing at the Transition Outpost at 9am PST! Share the stoke with the community and eat tasty food from Outpost Eats.
