It’s where Valentina stood on her first World Champs podium in 2022 and claimed her first World Cup win in 2023. We arrived with dreams of podium finishes and determination in our minds. With inclement weather on the horizon, the team took every step to make sure we were ready to tackle whatever Mother Nature had in store. Unfortunately on the morning of finals morning, the junior race was canceled due to the predicted storms and therefore, the junior qualifying results became the final race results. In the women’s elite competition, the stakes are incredibly high. Valentina couldn’t afford a conservative qualification run and gave it her all, but a few mistakes kept her out of the semi-finals. Despite this, both riders are leaving with renewed determination and fire in their hearts. With one month to test and train, we’re fired up for World Champs and the last block of racing later this summer. |
