Loyal to the Soil Episode 1

We're excited to announce, with collaboration to Shimano's Trail Born Fund and WMBC, a new trail project!

March 18, 2026

Our new trail in collaboration with Shimano's Trail Born Fund is taking shape!

We are excited to announce our newest trail project on Galbraith Mountain in Bellingham, WA. The trail will be a mix of freeride wood structures and bike park level jumps and flow. Think “Fade to Black” meets “A Line”. To accomplish this goal we are teaming up with Shimano and their Trail Born fund which is supporting 10 million dollars to new trails over the next 10 years. After applying for and receiving the funding, we got out to walk the corridor with TR co-founder, Kyle Young and our local trail organization the WMBC. Kyle was eager to break ground and run his excavator for all of the dirt work involved with the project. Despite his day job running the company,, creating dirt shapes in the woods would hold higher priority the last few months.

This new trail will be designed with the bike park rider in mind. Someone who wants to progress their riding on unique features with plenty of room for error. Using Trail Born's funds, we've also teamed up with local trail building legends, Adam and Dustin of Treelines Northwest, who have spent countless hours in the woods shaping and crafting trails unique to the PNW. Their attention to detail is unmatched especially when it comes to wood bridges and features. The new trail will have roughly seven wooden features, all connected by dirt work, so riders can rip top to bottom runs or session each feature separately.

"The Shimano Trail Born Fund is dedicated to supporting global advocacy groups by providing value and commitment to our shared vision of developing more places to ride." - Shimano

If you're familiar with Galbraith Mountain, feel free to swing by the project located just down the hill to the south from SST starting parallel to Hidden Valley. Stay tuned for more videos as we show the process of building a brand new trail for the community on our local hill maintained by the Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition.

Like a kid in a candy shop, Kyle is stoked to run the machine.

The corridor ready for a wood feature.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next episode!
