Light it Up the Movie

With the release of the Bottlerocket, we wanted to go big with this project as an ode to the bike videos we grew up watching as kids!

December 16, 2025

Check out our new full-length mountain bike video!

As kids, we all spent a good chunk of our off-season, evenings, and throughout injuries getting fired up to ride, watching bike movies. We'd collect DVDs and watch them on repeat until it was light enough to ride or the snow had melted. With the release of the Bottlerocket, we wanted to create something to showcase how rad our athletes are and what they get up to on their Bottlerockets. This video highlights old and new spots in 6 segments, ranging from Peruvian freeride lines to BC loamers, as well as a current look at "freeride" with massive FEST jumps in Slovenia. 'Light it Up' tries to strike a balance between the style of films we watched our heroes throwing down in and modern-day freeride. Take a peek at this new video of our crew doing what they do best!

The Bottlerocket for us helped define the way we like to ride bikes. A bicycle is a tool used for self-expression, and the Bottlerocket allowed us to think outside the box while on the trails. We've carried that ethos with us from the beginning, and the latest edition of the Bottlerocket is today's take on the same ethos. So much has progressed in the sport, but the end goal has remained the same. We're stoked to release this new film to show how far the sport has come and celebrate all things freeride.

Kamloops is home to some of the most iconic jumps in the world, so it was high up on our hit list.

'Light It Up' features the riding from TR factory athletes and ambassadors, Talus Turk, Hannah Bergemann, Jaxson Riddle, Johny Salido, Nico Vink, Brittany Gustafson, Kaia Jensen, Soren Farenholtz, Torsenn Brown, Ana Julia Gutierrez, Crew Turley, Hayden Damon, and Enzo Candaten. The freeride scene is an awesome one to be around, especially if the session is on. In any of these sessions, you'd find the group huddled around the drop-in with muffled hip hop, or for Ana and Hannah, some mixture of Reggaeton. Laughter would erupt, followed by quiet as someone would boost into the air. The group dynamic for these sessions was rad to see and something everyone was looking forward to for the day.

While schedules were tough to work around with it being the busiest time of the year for these athletes, we were able to lock six locations in that we felt showcased how multifaceted this crew is. The spots in our eyes also defined freeride either as an iconic spot or something fresh and the direction the sport is going now.

Pictured right, Jaxson Riddle is more comfortable out in the desert than walking on a sidewalk!

Johny Salido really can do it all. Casual flip whip for breakfast.

The Bottlerocket's roots are firmly planted in the woods, so it was a no brainer to have a session in the BC rainforest.

Tight but loose.

These six segments display the raw nature of freeride whether its hiking big lines in Peru or going full gas in Sun Peaks all the way to refining the craft of landing massive tricks in the desert or FEST size jumps. Each segment includes multiple riders to capture the heart and soul of freeride and how that feeling and experience is meant to be shared with your closest riding buddies. As cliche as it might sound,  feeding off of each other makes biking that much more fun. Sharing the experience of stomping a new trick or riding an unknown line is what it's all about.

This bike isn't just about big jumps, its about expressing your creativity out on the trail. Who likes to ride in a straight line anyway?!

Tailwhips and rock gardens in the same lap.

Thanks for taking a look, now put on some Limp Bizkit and go rip your favorite trails... If those trails are covered in snow, play this along with your favorite NWD, Collective and Kranked DVDs; and start scheming what your season is going to look like next year!
