FOR THOSE THAT COLOR
OUTSIDE THE LINES Back in the early 2000s, freeride was still this wild, undefined thing. The North Shore was blowing up, Joyride was just starting, and there was this gritty blend of BMX, dirt jumping, and mountain biking that didn’t quite have a proper bike to match. We were riding downhill bikes or strange hardtail setups, trying to force them into this new style. Nothing out there felt right, so we decided to build it ourselves. Our early Transition bikes had heart, but the product wasn’t quite there yet. Then came the Bottlerocket. It was the first bike that truly reflected what we were trying to do. Our BMX background inspired a low-slung frame that looked clean and could shred dirt jumps without sticking out like a janky mountain bike. We finally had a bike that felt exactly like what we had imagined: compact, fun, durable, and capable of going big without being a tank. ![]() |

![]() FROM THE BEGINNING The Bottlerocket changed everything for us. When we built the first one, we took it straight to the jumps and instantly knew it was something special. It struck the perfect balance between trail capability and BMX style freedom. For the first time, we had a bike that didn’t just ride well, it also looked good. We weren’t sure if anyone else would get it, but we were proud of it. When we launched, the response blew us away. Calls and emails poured in from riders who understood exactly what we were doing. The Bottlerocket wasn’t just another frame; it proved we could make something unique and real. It helped fund our future, let us hire our first employees, and gave Transition a design identity we still carry today. The Bottlerocket gave us credibility and a path forward. Without it, bikes like the Blindside and Double wouldn’t have existed. It helped shape a new category of riding and connected us with a community that valued fun, style, and progression as much as we did. |

THROWBACK PAINT & GRAPHICS
The Bottlerocket was always a fun one to experiment with paint schemes and styles with. From the classic raw finish to pairing bright, poppy colors, we knew these riders wanted something that reflected their freeride attitude. For this new Bottlerocket, we wanted to bring back a retro design from the past, and felt that grey with white splatter paint was a good match for today's style. ![]() |
THE BOTTLEROCKET CHANGED
EVERYTHING FOR US Now feels like the perfect time to bring the Bottlerocket back. Freeride isn't just alive, it's thriving. Trails are being built with more flow, more features, and more progression than ever before. But more than that, we wanted a bike that captured the soul of why we started in the first place. It isn't about race results or chasing trends. It's about the pure, carefree energy that made us fall in love with riding to begin with. It's built for riders who want to push their limits simply because it feels good, for those who find expression in the air and in the moment. We know this bike won't be for everyone, and that's the point. It's for the dreamers, the diggers, and the ones chasing the ultimate line. It's for the community that shaped us and still inspires us. Bringing the Bottlerocket back isn't just about reviving a model, it's about staying true to who we are. ![]() |
