Outpost Sales Specialist Posted: 02/18/25

Type: Full-Time Year-Round
Location: Bellingham, WA (in-office, no remote or hybrid options)
Wage Range: $18 - $20 per hour, depending on experience

Transition Bikes is looking for a passionate and customer-focused individual to join our Outpost team. This role focuses on sales and customer service, offering the opportunity to engage with customers while supporting the smooth operation of our Outpost.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited to contribute to creating an unforgettable experience for customers, whether through answering questions, helping with bike setup, or offering product recommendations.

What You’ll Do

  • Customer Service
    • Provide information about Transition Bikes, our history, and our products.
    • Set up and assist customers with demo bikes and new bikes.
    • Tend the bar and serve alcohol and bar snacks to customers.
    • Assist with general sales and inquiries.
  • Operations
    • Perform opening and closing duties.
    • Help maintain the demo fleet by cleaning and preparing demo bikes.
    • Stock, label, organize, and merchandise products.
    • Monitor and respond to emails and phone calls.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a bike shop is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mountain bikes, components, and accessories.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to maintain a clean workspace.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Must have, or be eligible to earn, a valid M.A.S.T permit to serve alcohol (must be 21+).
  • Must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Bellingham, WA.

Warehouse Production Posted: 02/05/25

Transition Bikes is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Warehouse Production team. This role focuses on receiving, organizing, and caring for all inbound goods, as well as handling outbound shipments from our U.S. warehouse. You'll collaborate with a team to ensure smooth operations and timely, accurate delivery, contributing to our commitment to excellent customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Daily Operations
    • Prioritize safety while performing all duties.
    • Receive, label, and organize inventory.
    • Move inventory from receiving to back stock, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
    • Rotate inventory using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
    • Pick, pack, and ship orders for customers in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Coordinate shipping with forwarding agents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of outbound shipments.
  • Support Functions
    • Assist with inventory cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
    • Assist with will-call deliveries and transport some international orders to local forwarders.
    • Support other departments with miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Desire to help your team and department succeed.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically, with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic computer skills with Google and Microsoft suites; willing to learn new software.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Outpost Eats Line Cook Posted: 02/02/25
Outpost Eats is looking for a motivated and experienced line cook to work in our truck at the base of Galbraith Mountain. We offer a fun and flexible environment, minutes away from miles of single track.

Job Duties:
  • Preparing food for service
  • Producing orders during service in an efficient and consistent manner
  • Cleaning and some dishwashing daily

    Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced, from-scratch kitchen preferred
